Fatal car crash in Amorgos

Yesterday afternoon (22-9-2011) at Lagada, Amorgos, the truck a 26 year old was driving collided with a motorcycle.
The motorcycle, which was riden by a 42 year old local, collided with another motorcycle as a result of the first collision.
The second motorbike was riden by a 33 year old foreign national from Albania. Both riders were seriously injured. They were transported by means of helicopter ambulance to the General Hospital of Syros.
The 33 year old Albanian succumbed to his injuries.
The truck driver was arrested.
The Lagada Police Station is conducting a preliminary investigation to determine the conditions and causes of the accident.
